Weller Prosocial Education Leadership Award
Weller Prosocial Education Leadership Award

This award, named in honor of Dorothy Weller, a life-long advocate for humane and prosocial education, recognizes educators and advocates who embrace humane and prosocial education and outreach as a means to create long-term sustainable change in their community and around the world. We know that prosocial behavior and empathy development don’t just happen in the classroom. Much like Dorothy and her work at both the community and national levels, these educators and advocates may be found in government agencies, in volunteer roles, or in an administrative capacity. Nominees may also work in an informal or nontraditional school setting, such as a nature center, museum, shelter, governmental or non-profit facility, or community center. This award honors those who are not classroom teachers and who have demonstrated their excellence in the field and dedication to the growth of humane and prosocial education.

Eligibility: Individuals who are not classroom teachers and who have demonstrated their excellence in the field and/or dedication to humane and prosocial education. To be eligible for consideration, all submission information must be current and cumulative as applicable.

All entries must be received by 11:59PM EST on 2/1/2021, via online submission. Entry fees are free. The winner will be notified by 5/31.
